Ohio or Michigan?
Which Wing will have the most Yeager Awards
earned during 2008?

Taking the Yeager Exam:
1. Login to eServices, the National CAP web site.
2. Download the book "Aerospace: The Journey of Flight" from the Aerospace Downloads link in the left column. Each chapter is downloaded separately. If you would prefer, call Vanguard at 1-800-221-1264 and order a hardcover copy of the book. The item number is CAP0038D. Some Squadrons may already have a copy of this book that you could borrow.
3. Click on the CAP Online Exams link. Scroll down to Aerospace Education AEPSM (Yeager Award) and click on that link.
4. Select either Yeager Award #1 or Yeager Award #2. Both are 100 questions. You only need to pass one of these tests with a 70% to earn the Yeager Award. Since this is an open-book test, I suggest you have both the downloaded book and the test open side-by-side on your screen. If you make both windows smaller, they will fit. The test must be done at one sitting and it takes about an hour and a half to complete. Unfortunately, you will not be able to save the test to finish it later.
5. After passing the exam, there is a link to print your own Yeager Certificate.
6. Take a copy of your Yeager Certificate to your Unit's Admin/Personnel Officer for your file.
7. You may purchase the Yeager Ribbon from Vanguard. The item number is CAP0708.
Patron, Cadet Sponsor and Aerospace Education Members are NOT eligible to earn the Yeager Award.
