Since it's inception in 1941, Civil Air Patrol has been providing leadership training and activities for young men and women through both local squadons and nation activities such as Air Force orientation programs and the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE).

The Cadet Program is open to all young men and women between the ages of 12 and 21. Group 4 has three squadrons with ourstanding opportunities for American youth. Cadets from the Group have won recognition in local, state, and national competitions. A number have received educational scholarships and appointments to US service academies.

Each year, Group 4 hosts The Initiative competition between CAP cadets and their counterparts in the Canadian Air Force's Air Cadet Program. Just another example of how the Civil Air Patrol reinforces leadership and teamwork skills.
