The Youngstown ARS composite squadron is comprised of both senior and cadet members, conducting both the senior program and cadet program.

Squadron Commander Bio
Captain Sean R. Beatty assumed command of the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron on 18 July, 2022. He is responsible for the oversight of the 40+ cadet and senior personnel in the squadron. He joined the squadron as a cadet in 2010, and was promoted to the grade of Cadet Master Sergeant. During his time as a cadet, he served as a flight element leader, flight sergeant, aerospace education assistant instructor, and Public Affairs NCO in-charge. He served as a member of the squadron's CyberPatriot team, and would be with the team at the National Finals in 2013 and 2014. He became a Senior Member in 2016. He would serve as the squadron’s Information Technology Officer and Public Affairs Officer supporting most squadron events. In 2017, he would become a Cadet Programs Officer and take over the leadership of the squadron’s Cadet Orientation Program, providing leadership training to new cadets entering the squadron. In 2019, he became the squadron’s Deputy Commander for Cadets, and provided oversight of the squadron's cadet program and ensured its continued success. Captain Beatty is a lifelong resident of Youngstown. He is a 2017 graduate of Kent State University, holding an Associate degree in Information Technology with a focus on Computer Networking. He currently works as a Computer Helpdesk Technician for a manufacturing company in Niles, Ohio.
