The Capt Eddie Rickenbacker Composite Squadron is comprised of both senior and cadet members, conducting both the senior program and cadet program.

The focus of OH-115 is to teach the CAP core values of Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect in conjunction with Character Development, Leadership, Emergency Services, Physical Fitness, and Aerospace activities. As our cadets participate in CAP, they advance through a series of achievements, earning honors and increased responsibilities along the way. We offer opportunities for cadets to experience orientation flights in CAP aircraft, earn their pilot’s license or learn to fly a non-powered glider.

Squadron Commander Bio
Lt Saunders has been with the Civil Air Patrol (civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force) as local squadron commander since April 2020, Senior Member since 2015, and as a parent since 2011.
Lt Saunders oversee all aspects of the program; ensuring compliance to regulations, adherence to providing quality cadet programs, ensuring members are receiving adequate education/training, as well as coordination of day to day operations for the squadron. In addition, Lt Saunders also take responsibility for recruitment, administrative duties, public affairs and activities. Lt Saunders is the Location Coordinator for Wreaths Across America fundraising program for four local Reynoldsburg cemeteries.
OH-115 has taken part in Honor Flight Columbus each year with our cadets interacting with the many veterans who are taking their flights.
Lt Saunders has been instrumental in growing OH-115 over these past seven years working alongside a terrific group of volunteers.
As a collective team, OH-115 was the recipient of the Quality Cadet Unit Award for 5 years running.
Lt Saunders has completed emergency services programs, to include FEMA, Homeland Security and the Red Cross and am CERT (Community Emergency Response Training), first aid, CPR and AED certified.
Lt Saunders received the Benjamin David, Jr. Award and the Charles Yeager Aerospace Achievement Awards and, most importantly, the Air Force Organizational Excellence Award. Lt Saunders most recent achievement was taking part in the Ohio Wing Cadet Encampment as a Training Officer in June, 2022.
