Squadron Commander Bio
Lieutenant Colonel Paul Creed III, CAP is commander of the Akron-Canton Senior Flying Squadron in Group 3, Ohio Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary. As commander, he is responsible for the training and leadership of 30 personnel, ground, and aviation assets. Lieutenant Colonel Creed assumed command on October 9, 2019.
Lieutenant Colonel Creed joined the Civil Air Patrol in 2006 and served with the Youngstown ARS Composite Squadron from 2006 until 2016, holding several duty positions including a four-year term as squadron commander. Lieutenant Colonel Creed also coached the squadron’s nationally-ranked CyberPatriot team for six years, working with the team in cyber defense training.
Lieutenant Colonel Creed was assigned as commander of Group 3, Ohio Wing where he served from May 2016 until June 2019 in which he was responsible for the leadership of over 200 personnel in six subordinate units. Lieutenant Colonel Creed also completed additional joint assignments to Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters as the National Cyber Mission Deputy for Education & Awareness and as a member of the Photography Working Group.
