“Empowering members with opportunities and resources to promote aerospace-related STEM education and careers.”
Aerospace education in the Ohio Wing embraces and supports aerospace programs for our cadets, senior members, education members, and the communities we serve.
Internal Aerospace Education
Our internal aerospace education programs are managed by aerospace education officers (AEOs) that provide educational activities for cadets and senior members throughout the wing. Aerospace education is a cornerstone mission of CAP, providing an aerospace education professional development track, cadet rocketry programs, and recognitions in this program area. We support AE programs at the unit, group, and wing levels.
External Aerospace Education
Our external aerospace education members (AEMs) programs recruit educator members to enrich their classrooms with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) themed resources to aid in their class lessons.
2019 National Commander’s Challenge Winner
In 2019, Ohio Wing won the Aerospace Education Member recruitment challenge set by our National Commander, Maj General Mark Smith, winning for recruiting the most AEMs in the large state category!
